So i tried making an account with equifax the other day (dont remember if i did have an account in the past, usually get my reports from annual credit), and i couldn't log on. This was the message i got:
We can't complete your request at this time.Please call the Customer Care team - 888-836-6351
So i called the number, got a person thankfully, who told me he would notify someone who can help me, i should get an email soon. Next day i get an email that says: Upon further review, the option to utilize the online website, MyEquifax is not available to you.
This decision is based on the information that you have provided during the account creation process.
So i call again and a rep told me the same thing! asked for a supervisor who also told me the same thing. Based on the information i provided blah blah blah. So then i asked what exactly did i provide that was so bad, because i just gave you my social, my address, my name! Mind you, im looking at my report that i got from annualreport, so obviously nothing has changed!!
So my question is, has anyone had any luck accessing their reports, it's been plaguing me for the past couple of days. I've come across people who went through the same exact thing and seemed like they gave up. Is there hope that i will ever get it back 😂
I did. I managed to get a rep via chat (selecting the tech support option) and they were able to fix whatever nonsense was happening and get me logged in. No issues since. It's been a little over a year since my experience but I believe the chat option still exists so... good luck!
