Lowes

Has anyone had any luck with a GW letter to Lowes (GEMB)?  If so, what address did you use?  I tried to get them to remove three 30 day lates from late 2005 and early 2006, and so far they haven't budged.  We had account with them from 1989 to 2006, and it was never late until our financial crash in late '05 and early '06.  Thanks!

Send the GW to the address on your CR!  tell them what happened & make not of your good standing with them since the lates...............also late pay does not hurt as much after 2 years.

They refused to make changes to the lates, but they did change the description from "managed by credit couseling" to "canceled by creditor".  I don't think that will make much difference unless it decreases the score.  It seems despite being loyal customers since 1989, only running into trouble in late 2005 and early 2006 doesn't matter to GEMB. We paid them off within two months of entering into the credit couseling plan.   We were hoping to do business them again later on - no way now.  I think at last we're better off without them.  Thanks!
