Maximizing rewards for Costco purchases

Hey guys, my parents shop at Costco a lot and I just came across this article but to me most people would use the Alliant, Vantage West, BoA Cash Rewards or a 2% card or the Freedom Unlimited/1.5 CB. Do you guys think the Alt Reserve makes it the best card to use for Costco?

I have Costco Executive membership and the Citi Costco card..

It's a decent combo with CB of 3-5% depending..
