I recently find out that my citicard it's been reporting to the wrong number for the last two years.....I corrected the mistake, and gave them the right number....they updated my social security number on their files. I asked them to update the information as well, with the credit bureaus; which they said they did; however it's been already more than thirty days, and everytime I call them (3 or 4 times already); the person I end up talking to, doesn't seem to know much about the subject; especially since my calls got nothing to do to my account.
At the same time, I've called all three credit bureaus, and none of them can tell me, that they have received this update from citibank; actually they all three said, that they have not receive anything at all.........however Citibank sent me a letter saying to "please allow thirty days for the credit bureaus to update their files"; and it's been almost forty five days already.
what can I do to better handle it?
