NFCU Checking Line of Credit (CLOC)

this is probably a really silly question, but.... how do you actually use your CLOC ??? Can you use it by using your debit card? or do you actually have to write a check?? Thanks in advance!!!

Either, it's basically overdraft protection in a credit form. Whether you overdraw with a check or debit card your covered.

Thank you. I was nervous to try accessing it via debit card for fear of it just declining. My checking is low due to Christmas shopping & I don't get paid for another week, then yesterday guess who had a radiator go out! I know that will put me in the negative so I just wanted to clarify before I did it.
What if I need to swipe again after its overdrawn? Will it still approve since I have the checking line of credit?

Hi -  You will be covered whether you write a check or use the debit card as long as you don't go over the specified limit of your CLOC.  It basically just pulls from the CLOC as long as you haven't reached your limit.

Yes it should keep swiping as long as you are within your CLOC limit. You should have no issues.

I use my Navy debit card to access my CLOC all the time. No worries!

You can actually call and request a seperate checkbook. Any checks written from the line will be withdrawn from you CLOC...
