Navy Federal Credit Card Due Date

Hello Fellow Forum members I hope a few members can help me with this question with data points.

I am thinking about changing my NFCU credit card due date but need to know when the closing date will be.

Does anyone have a Due Date Of the 1st, 2nd or the 3rd on their credit card?

If you do what is the Closing date?

Other NFCU credit card holders with different closing dates than the ones listed are welcomed to chime in and include the Due Date and the Closing Date.

Replies are Much Appreciated.

Re: Navy Federal Credit Card Due Date

The time between my NFCU statement date and due date is 27 days, 28 days if you include the due date, if that helps you figure it out.

@JoeRockhead  Thanks for the reply. What I'm trying to figure out is How many days After the Due Date does the Closing date occur.

I have some cards that due date ...

due date falls on the 27 then closing date is on the 2nd = 7 days

due date falls on the 18 then closing date is on the 21st = 4 days

I pay my minumums way before Due Date but often pay some more before the closing date for reporting.

So looking for Due Date then how many days before statement cuts after Due Date...4? 5? 7? etc.

Thanks

Re: Navy Federal Credit Card Due Date

I have due date of 12th and statement date of 15th, 3 days between. If you change due date, does that also change statement date? I never requested a change, but assume statement date is static.

Re: Navy Federal Credit Card Due Date

By my math best guess: 3 days

  • Due date on the 1st, the statement will likely close on the 4th
  • Due Date on the 2nd, statement date close on the 5th
  • Due Date on the 3rd, statement date close on the 6th

Including the due date in the calculation, you'd have either 28, or 29 days (depending on days in the statement month) between the close date, and the due date.

@KatzNDawgs I have noticed that with some cards changing the Due Date will change the number of days of the statement closing date.

I inquired about changing the due date of a Penfed card and where it is 7 days before closing date now, had I changed it the days between Due Date and Closing would be 5 days.

Some other cards changing Due Date had no effect on the number of days before closing. If it was 3, 4, 5 etc it stayed 3, 4, 5 etc.

^This^ IME NFCU is 3 days from due date to statement close; but I've also never changed the date. I actually prefer the banks who have fixed dates vs the floaters.
