My question is if I pay this account will it then show up as a collection or just remain as is on my report? What are the chances of a judgement being issued for this if I continue to hold out for a PDF ( which by the way the collection co. says they have no control over!)

Thanks Happy Days..but what about the above question?

Re: Need payment advice for collections

SOL is 6 years - try a PFD again.. I would recommend a full payment since you are with SOL because a partial could tweak them to sue instead.

There is no law that says they must report - only that if they do report it must be accurate. They think we are dumb (well, most of the people they deal with just don't know) - you are not unaware so let them know that.

Also find out what your state law is involving law suits. I am in Ct. and a CA can not at any time file a law suit, they MUST hire an attorney which makes it much more expensive to file suit!

Some states have laws as what can be added to a closed account....fees,int. etc.
