Need service/attorney/notary to apply for Social Security Number

Hi,

Would someone be so kind to please tell me who can i contact for a service of applying for Social Security Number for USA Resident (state: TX) who guaranteed won't need to do any personal visits for this purpose regardless of the reason (e.g. signature)? Without mailing physical card because I prefer to avoid having to receive anything by physical mail (envelope).

I already found service of applying for EIN but unfortunately same service provider doesn't offer applying for SSN and he accidentally applied EIN for nonUSA Resident. Now there are a lot of problems when it comes to Amazon's verification of IRS records.

I was doing some research on my own to hopefully find service provider for applying for SSN. Haven't found anyone yet but I discovered that SSN is obtained on birth. If this is true, i would like to use a service of reapplying of forgotten SSN. Why forgotten? Because i don't have (don't know) it.

Please let me know if you know any service provider (individual or company/firm) who could do this.

Would urgently need SSN.

Thanks a million times in advance!

Re: Need service/attorney/notary to apply for Social Security Number

I have no idea about a service, but will note that getting a SSN at birth depends on how long ago you were born. I was born around 60 years ago, and back then you typically didn't get a number until you were ready to start working. I was probably 15 before I had an SSN. I found something online that suggests that in 1990 SSNs were required for the birth certificate to be completed, so most people in their 20s would have gotten one. If you did get one at birth, it would be better to find that number than get another one issued.

A little searching on-line suggests that the best way to determine your SSN if you don't know it is to visit a SSA office in person.

Re: Need service/attorney/notary to apply for Social Security Number

Thank you for reply. The problem is that i recently got my EIN number and there was huge failure on it. I have to correct ''non-USA resident'' to ''USA resident'' and i am trying to figure out how to do this. As far as I know it is possible only with SSN. This is the reason why i am asking where to get SSN (apply for it). It doesn't matter if forgotten, lost etc. Anything would be acceptable to get it.

Ideally finding a solution how to correct what i said on EIN records would be almost too good to be true if being able to do this without SSN.

The SSA web site will tell you what you need to get an SSN. There is an application to fill out and certain required documentation. Your requirements of not seeing anyone in person and not receiving mail will make this challenging. If you are legitimately allowed to have an SSN and are also actually in the US, gathering the required paperwork and going to an SSA office will probably be the best solution.
