Negative Care Credit Balance

Hi all! So i had a $337 bill on care credit that ended up getting refunded after I paid in full, so now i have a -337 balance. What can I do about this? Can they pay it to me or do i just have to leave it on there?

Thanks!

Re: Negative Care Credit Balance

You can probably request they cut you a check for the negative balance - most lenders will do so but not sure about Care Credit.   It may take a couple of weeks to receive it tho...

Re: Negative Care Credit Balance

Care credit will send you a check for the total $337 balance after you contact customer service and request for it. Hope this helps!

Re: Negative Care Credit Balance

The Fair Credit Billing Act requires a creditor to credit an excess payment to the consumer's account or, upon request from the consumer, refund the excess payment.  It is your choice, provided you send them a request.

" FCBA § 165. Crediting excess payments

Whenever an obligor transmits funds to a creditor in excess of the total balance due on an open end consumer credit account, the creditor shall promptly (1) upon request of the obligor refund the amount of the overpayment, or (2) credit such amount to the obligor’s account. "
