New Credit Card - How soon on Credit Report

One of the dings on my credit report is that I don't have many lines of credit.  I just got approved for a new credit card and I got a secured loan at a local CU.  How long does it take for the new credit card to show up as an account.  I have one for $7500 now but this one will be $22,000 and Credit Karma shows it having a huge imapct on my credit score.

depends what card and what bank issues the card. Could be a day. could be two months.

This is a very common topic.  Don't overlook existing discussions as a resource.  The time to first report for any new account can vary.

Be very careful relying on Credit Karma.  Read up here and learn to assess your reports versus just relying on CK.  Generally speaking a thicker profile is better than a thin profile but don't rely on CK's ranking of number of accounts and note that CK itself indicates the number of accounts has a low impact.
