New Year == New FICO Scorecard

I'm pulling daily through 6 different sites.. mostly for B* but I'm also in the middle of buying a house right now as well.

This morning I did my dailies and on TU and EQ, both scores changed in FAKO and on TU it changed on FICO as well.   Nothing new compared to Dec 31 2010.   All my account balances are zero and have one baddie... a 120-day late from 6yrs ago that drops off in Dec 2011.

So on TU bumped up FAKO from 764 to 770.   EQ FAKO recovered from 792 to 801.

TU FICO changed from 757 to 767.   EQ FICO dropped from 770 to 767.   Yes, both scores went up and down 10 points and now match on FICO.

My best guess on this right now is a scorecard shift.    My age used to look better last year (16 years) but I had a dead account drop.   On Dec 31 TrueCredit said my age is 10 years 11 months, and today I am back to 11 years.

What a difference a single day makes!

Re: New Year == New FICO Scorecard

And as far as INQs go....   This is what I got now:

EX:  10   1 less than 6 mos.,  2 less than 12 mos.

EQ:  0 (all B*)

TU:  2    2 less than 6 mos

I've already managed to bump off my mortgage app hard off EQ and I think it might bump off of TU before my lender pulls again before closing.    I must have done about 20 different insurance quotes in the last week or so to get rates on homeowner's insurance.   Luckily not a single one of those resulted in a hard, and it actually caused some B* action on TU.  Smiley Very Happy

Once I finish settlement I am debating on going back to OPT-IN.   I want to see what happens to my junk mail once the mortgage starts reporting.

Looks like your Fico mid score is 767, regardless of your EX score....but that TU you pulled is the Fico '98 version, and the mortgage will most likely be the '04 version so YMMV.  Either way you look good at 740+, should be no problem.  I wouldn't put any stock in that 801, it is a Fako as you stated. I have a Vantage score in the 800's, I just laugh when I see that.  Congrats on the nice scores.

Just a note to all you frequent pullers out there: don't be terribly surprised if and when your files split, especially Equifax.  Smiley Wink

They can rebuild them, but not overnight, and that could be pretty awkward if you were in the middle of a mortgage app or something.

Frankly, I'd rather have the inqs.
