New account AAoA effect question

My direct rewards discover (my oldest account) is being handed over to cap1 in a few months. Cap1 told me when the transfer is complete, I will receive a platinum MC with a new account number. Will this effect my AAoA and will this new card show up as a new account? Thanks.

Went through the same thing when HSBC sold their Orchard Bank accounts to Cap One. gdale's response is correct.
