New to CR

I had an emergency surgery in 2004.  I could not pay the full amount of the bill.  Now it shows $2900 went to a collection agency, and it appears only in TU, but not in EX/EQ.  What do I need to do?  I never checked my CR before, and now I'm trying to bring my credit back on track...  Please help!

Welcome !! I'm new here also,but they will need more info. do you know the DOFD and DOLA? What state are you in? Do you know the SOL? If you can give this info,someone can help you. Good luck
