I decided to join Penfed a few weeks ago and everything went as expected. One thing I noticed though is that Credit Karma used to be very useful at giving me immediate notifications about new inquiries and new accounts. This time around CK failed to let me know that I had a new EQ inquiry and that I had a new account added to my report. CCT gave me immediate notification of the inquiry on EQ and the new account. Wallethub gave me immediate notification of the new account. But when I logged into CK it did show the inquiry and the new account. Has CK stopped active monitoring? That's one of the main reasons I used to like them. Last time I applied for something a few years ago a CK was all over it a notified me almost immediately. Has anyone else noticed a change in the way CK has sent out notifications when I comes to new accounts or inquiries on your reports?
I received a CK alert about 2 months ago when I took on a couple of HPs. Not sure if anything changed since then. Perhaps it's a setting and alerts are turned off for you or something?
I haven't changed any settings and I just checked the app on my phone as well and all alert settings were enabled. Don't know but I'm a bit bummed as that was one of the most useful features for this free service.
CK is now a waste of time except to see CRs, I receive no alerts at all and alerts are enabled.

I think CK stopped sending alerts for new inquiries/accounts some time ago, it's been at least a year since I got an alert from them. Do you actually pay for CCT, or are you on a $1 trial? I haven't any updates from them since my 2nd & last $1 trial back in mid May, I don't care for CCT and won't do their $1 trial again. I much prefer Experian's CreditScore.com, I did the $4.95 30 day trial, and when I canceled that they gave me a free account that updates EX Fico every 2 weeks. They don't email alerts, but when I log in any new EX inquiry/account/change in CL is there in "Alerts".
For TU Capital One's Credit Wise is excellent for TU. I app'd for the new Synchrony Paypal 2% Cashback card on Monday, just minutes after app'ing & approval Cap One emailed an alert for the new inquiry. Today when I got home from work I had an email from Cap One that Synch reported the new account. When I logged into CreditScore that alert was there also. Wallethub? I don't do credit monitoring at sites like that or Mint, I figure the more sites that have my personal info the more sites there are that can be hacked and get my info. Cap One for TU, CreditScore.com for EX, and CK for TU/EQ is enough monitoring for me.

I am ready to say "so long" to CK..
As stated previously, even without alerts CK is still great for weekly updates on your TU and EQ reports.
I still have alrets is just random or very delayed, not like it used to be.
I still think they are great for a freebie to monitor.

I app'd & was approved for the new Synchrony PayPal 2% Cashback card on Monday, new account reported Wednesday. Yeah, no alert from CK, but Cap One CreditWise did, but just the new account alert, no details on CL. The PP Cashback approval doesn't tell you the SL, you just get a $250 temp CL showing in PayPal until you get the card & activate. Sunday morning is my weekly CK update, and there it is - $7k CL reporting. Nice SL, thanks Sync!
Credit Karma is worth every penny I pay for it.
