No change in Experian Score!!!!! WHY?

Last month the  big three scores read TU-662, EQ-717 and Experian - 694. Since then..Ifrom18K in revolving balances, I paid off 12K of it. All of the new balances are reflecting on the newest 3 credit reports. But to my suprise, my score went up only few points, TU to 669, EQ to 724, and Experian remianed the same. I have double checked the Experian report to make sure no new negativ info was reports, and all of the accounts that been paid off show the correct balance and rest of the data is exactly the same as last time I pulled the report. On few cards I left $500 balance, where the credit lines ar earound 10K. Can anybody tell me why Experian score has not gone up, and after paying off so much of revolving debt, which is very large part of the FICO score, why my score has only gone up 7 points. My new mortage lender is requiring the middle score to be at 700to qualify for a construction loan, and I am not sure what else to do to get it there. I thought paying off the revoling debt would raise it at least 6 points. Any suggestions?

Credit Card A Sept balance $7867.00, Oct $2990.00, limit 12.5K
Credit Card B Sept balance $3890.00, Oct $1030.00, limit 15.9K
Credit Card C Sept balance $2423.00, Oct $523.00, limit 3K
Credit Card D Sept balance $2600.00, Oct 500.00, limit 5K
Credit Card C Sept balance $412.00, Oct $95, limit 2.5K

Sept total revolving balances $17192, Oct $5138, 12K drop, or over 70% and no change in score....

And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: No change in Experian Score!!!!! WHY?

These are the changes;

Credit Card A Sept balance $7867.00, Oct $2990.00, limit 12.5K
Credit Card B Sept balance $3890.00, Oct $1030.00, limit 15.9K
Credit Card C Sept balance $2423.00, Oct $523.00, limit 3K
Credit Card D Sept balance $2600.00, Oct 500.00, limit 5K
Credit Card C Sept balance $412.00, Oct $95, limit 2.5K

Sept total revolving balances $17192, Oct $5138, 12K drop, or over 70% and no change in score....
There was no new inquiries, nor any new accounts opened since Sept. No account went delinquent and I do not have any other Credit Cards opened. Why would this not help the Experian score. Is there a number or a way to dispute Experian score, this is clearly wrong, other 2 reporting agencies raised their score by 7 points, why wouldn't EXPERIAN do it as well. Any help and what can I do to get the experian score to 700 wil be welcomed.

Re: No change in Experian Score!!!!! WHY?

This got even better, TU score jumped to 683, whereas EX still stuck at 694. Is 12 open accounts, some with some without blances is hurting the score?  Is there a good number or a range of open accounts that would hel to increase the score.

Re: No change in Experian Score!!!!! WHY?

You have 5 accounts with balances. I've seen people report here that they've seen a jump in their scores by going from 5 to 4 accounts with balances.

I'd say pay off 1 or 2 accounts completely.

Re: No change in Experian Score!!!!! WHY?

I'm glad to see it's not just me.  I've been making strides with my TU (634) and Eq (619) scores but for some reason EX (591) is lagging behind.  I'm trying to get my scores up so I can buy a house in the next year or 2 so wish me luck.

Re: No change in Experian Score!!!!! WHY?

Finaly, EX moved up to 714, but not due to the paid off balances, I disputed two old collections and there were removed , 10 points increase for each...

I still do not understand why the paying off 12K out of 18K of revolving balances, did not make a difference in EQ score....

Re: No change in Experian Score!!!!! WHY?

I've experienced the same thing with Experian.  I just paid off a very large balance on a credit card and it shot my EQ and TU scores up by 22 points, but EX only went up 6.
