Not able to get a credit score on experian

Hi,

I ordered my credit report from experian, and it gave me the report but did not give me a score. I have a credit karma account but that inky gives me TU and Equifx. Can someone tell me why this is not showing up or where to go to get it. I tried to order my report from here but it would not let me as it keeps asking me security questions that do not apply to me.

You can get it directly from experian. They have a credit monitoring service that offers a free trial (1-week I believe), and you can get your report and score and then cancel before you’re auto-billed for a paid subscription.

Experian gives you their report and FICO 8 classic score once a month for free. You only have to pay if you want all 3 from them or a more detailed report and scores. Why can't you get your score from experian and how is it possible that you can't answer questions about you here? Are you sure your credentials are inputed correctly into the form?

Hi Bees18 and welcome to the forum.

You said, “I tried to order my report from here but it would not let me as it keeps asking me security questions that do not apply to me.” Do you have an account with MyFICO? It is a paid subscription, but you can buy your data as well. For a one-time report go to https://www.myfico.com/ and click on “Products” on the toolbar. Then click on “One-time Credit Reports See Details.”  That will open a page that allows you to select only one CRA (in your case EX) or all three. If you click on “Single-bureau Report” and check the Experian circle and click “Get access now”, you will be prompted to sign up using an email account and a password. Then you will be requested to input you CC data to pay for it. This one score will give you just about all you need for that CRA (including scores for all FICO models that is available). It will cost you about $20.

If the system is asking for security questions it may be that you entered your data (email or password) incorrectly. That assumes you have an account. If you do not, then maybe someone else in your household used your email address for an account. Contact the moderators and they can walk you through if you wish (they roam the community regularly).

Experian offers your 3 CRA scores for $15 bucks. https://www.experian.com/consumer-products/compare-credit-report-and-score-products-1.html?pc=seo_ex... They are FICO 8 and some products (I don’t use them) give you auto and bankcard scores. I don’t know if they offer mortgage scores (FICO 2, 4 or 5), FICO 9 or others.

Is your credit profile less than 6 months old?

Are you referring to the identity type questions (e.g. street you've lived on, name of financial institution that has your auto loan, etc)? And are you saying that all of the options they give you are incorrect? This is normal - it is meant to throw off people who are trying to impersonate you and hack into the system to get your report. On the questions where all of the possible choices are incorrect you're suppose to choose 'none of the above.' Now, if you're choosing 'none of the above' for every single question then I think that's a problem and may be indicative that someone has taken credit out in your name but I've had instances where I had 'none of the above' for up to three questions.
