Old CO Account

I have a CO account that is paid. The account have 1.5 years old good payment history before being late. In Oct of this year some of that good payment history is going to start to come off because it is at the 7 year mark and the rest in Mar 2016. When that good payment history starts to come off it that going to hert my score because some of the account was payed on time and they only thing is going to be bad history?

Re: Old CO Account

If the charge off is still on your credit report could have a major impact on your cr and scores.you should pull your report and see if its on there. If it is on your credit report then your next plan of action will probably be GW since you have already paid it.

Re: Old CO Account

Paid off Aug 2013. It is on all three CR EX: 684, EQ: 703, TU 768. Will that positive history have any effect on my report being removed as it is almost 7 years old? I have new credit in good standing since May 2010, 2005 if you count the AU accounts.

+1

The CO is the derog indicator on this one.  The payment history is moot.

Starting Score: 504
July 2013 score:
EQ FICO 819, TU08 778, EX "806 lender pull 07/26/2013
Goal Score: All Scores 760+, Newest goal 800+
Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge

Current scores after adding $81K in CLs and 2 new cars since July 2013
EQ:809 TU 777 EX 790 Now it's just garden time!

June 2017 update: All scores over 820, just pure gardening now.

You have already felt th emajor effects on this CO.. ..  At the 7 1/2 year mark from DOFD this entire account will be removed.. that may raise or lower your score depending on how the rest of you file looks..
