My oldest account - a paid off SL in good standing which only reports on EX - is about to fall off. Is there anything I can do to get this account reaged so it stays on the report longer? It was opened in 1971...

Cover your corn flakes. So sorry. Hopefully it won't destroy your average age of accounts.
Of course it will - but it will just make EX = to TU and EQ to which this TL was never reported. It may result in a scoring bucket change for EX and I am pretty sure it will cost me some points. Just wondering if there isn't some way to get this reaged so it hangs around another decade or so...

I had Equifax drop my 3 oldest tradelines a full 3-4 years before they will drop off TU and EX. I was told that you can call and have the line rebuilt but didn't try. You might try calling the OC but if anything has to be done on EX' end you can pretty much forget it. Might be worth a shot though.
