On your credit reports...

Is "date reported" the same as "date updated"?  I have heard sometimes that if you dispute inaccurate information, & they verify it, it affects your score (if it is negative information) because it appears more recent.  But I don't see a "date updated."

I think they are seperate. I know date reported is when the creditor reports the information, so I would assume date updated is from the CRA's.

Date reported is the date the CA reported it to the CRA.  Date updated can be the monthly reporting by the CA, if a payment is made etc.
