PFD and Economy

With the economy headed the way it is, and CCC's hedging their bets on future defaults, does anyone think it will be easier to get a PFD now?

I have a Cap1 with DOLA of Jan 2003 and amount of 1457.00.  Since it will be there for 7.5 yrs, until July 2010, I'm wondering if I should offer a PFD at this point, say for 1K, and get it off my CRA's.  It's only reporting to TU and EQ, but I really need to get my EQ up and was hoping this would help.  I also don't want it to start showing up on my EX.

Tusc, Fused, Hauling any input?

Re: PFD and Economy

It's out of SOL for my state, FL. It's either 3 or 4 years here, depends on the type. (If I understood that whole SOL thing correctly Smiley Very Happy)

Re: PFD and Economy

Absolutely! Since you are out of SOL start with 25-50% and see if they take it or what their counter is--- when I DV'd a CA they put it on the one report it was missing from.... just a heads-up...

Re: PFD and Economy

Thanks Scarlet.

Also, it's reporting differently on the two reports.

TU has it as a Charge Off with DOLA of Jan 03.

EQ shows Bad Debt/Collection with DOLA of Feb 03, but it's also reporting monthly OK's since July 07. All months before that show R/F.

Any idea's why?
