I haven't had ANY luck with PFDs.  When I mention it to OCs and CAs, they state that it is against their policy.

Did you call or write?

So Far I am 6 for 6 on the PFD. When they told me that they could not delete whether I paid in full or not then I always ask for a Supervisor or a Manager and explain the situation and tell them that I would be greatful for thier help. If the Collection Agency wouldn't do it I called the OC and I have ended up with 6 letters from the 6 collections we had 4 on mine and 2 on his. I even got a judgement removed from Wells Fargo. Good Luck.

Send your letters regular mail. Save yourself the money.

I'd wait at least 4 weeks before taking a second whack at 'em. Keep changing the format of your letters in an effort to draw attention. A pink envelope. An 8.5 x 11 envelope (even if it's just a one page PFD letter).

Maybe try Email as well. Get 'em reacting, then send another letter.

Re: PFD

Just remember play to thier sympathy and be really nice, even if they are not. Try to cut a few jokes to break the icewink smiley. Rember they have a bad job-The Collection Companys so go easy on them and that will through them off since they are use to people being rude. I wish you all the best and if I can help just let me know.

Re: PFD

My PFD request with NCO was approved!!!!

They are deleting it from my credit reports!

Hooray!

What a good week.

A 42 point jump on EQ (FICO)...
Approval by my credit union for a new car at 9.2% APR...
Target agreed to delete all my late pay notations...
Now this.

I'm blessed, and I thank you all so much for your advice and support.
