Paid charge off

Hello I'm new here on fico and have a question. I have a paid charge off that reports every month, I do understand that it will probably be there for 7 years however it hasn't reported the last couple months but it still is on my credit report. Is that normal? Or should I do something about it? its just over 2 years old now

Re: Paid charge off

The post appears to state alternatively that it reports every month, but has not reported for the last couple of months.

Do you mean it is still showing, but it is not updating?

Did you just pay it off in the last couple of months? I don't think they keep updating once the account is paid/settled.

I had a few medical collections almost 2 years ago, once I paid them they stopped updating.

Re: Paid charge off

@Anonymous Once you paid the CO, they updated it to paid. The monthly updates will stop as a result of the account being settled. This does not mean that the CO will be removed from your reports, that date is set by the DOFD (you can usually find out the date its expected to fall off by checking your credit reports).

You can pull your credit report for free weekly from annualcreditreport.com till 4/2021.
