Super Congrats! I can't wait until Jan. or May 2010 when I pay off mines. The day I pay if off, I'm going to take it to get it shined up to feel like a brand new SUV.

- Buy a bumper sticker that says "don't laugh, it's paid for!"
- Resolve never again to have a car payment
- Open a savings account into which every month you deposit the amount of your car payment

Corollary to 2. is to resolve never to have another new car. I have committed to purchasing "pre-owned" luxury cars. I have saved a fortune and always have a nice ride. Let someone else pay the instant depreciation. For me an auto note is just a tool to further improve my credit standing. Why should I have a $700/mo. car payment for a vehicle I can drive for < $200/mo.?
