I am working with a client who had a debt with Palisades Collection. On June 6, my client rcv'd notice of a judgment. Funds were taken not only from client's checking, but from savings as well. Funds were taken 2 days prior to receipt of notice. My client acknowledges the debt but had no knowledge of any court action prior to funds being removed. There was no subpoena, no contact from Palisades whatsoever before the attachment was placed against her accounts. My client didn't even know Palisades was handling the debt.
I'm looking for advice on how to help my client. Does anyone have experience with this type of action?
