The current balance on my Citi Rewards+ card is $472 w/ $5800 CL w/$125.09 paid this cycle. It's the last card statement coming out for two weeks. I still have 13 months of an interest free period left. I'm going to pay another $10 on it before it cuts so my score will have the best chance as I want to apply for the Citi Custom Cash card soon. I could pay more but then I would use up all 3 of my cashback debit cards that earns 5% or more calculating other bills to pay. Will that $10 additional help the score and history a lot or not really? I noticed my EXP went up 9 points because I paid $695.12 on my Double Cash last time plus the inquiry from Chase aged a year. Also does any creditor offer an option where you can pay more than the minimum but not the full balance where you can be off the hook for a minimum payment next month (min is $41)? I don't think there is one but its frustrating to try and pay a little more and then have the same minimum amount be required the next time around.
You re already under 9%, $10 won't do much.
