Personal Loan

Hello,
There is no forum for information on personal loans so I thought this forum would be fine. I am trying to receive a personal loan but I dont know where to go. My EQ is 539 TU is 609 and EX is 600. I have about 8-11 collection accounts. 1 BOA card, CJ card and a Car loan all with no lates. My last collection account is dated 2006. If you could offer any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Personal Loan

I would need max 5000. I need the money because i am going to move back home. My nephew and his sisters were taken away from their mother. And instead of allowing them to go from foster home to foster home I want to adopt them. If I get $2500 that would be just fine also.

Re: Personal Loan

I agree with the Prosper recommendation. Depending on how well you grade-out with Experian's Scorex Plus model (Prosper does not pull FICOs), you might be able to get a loan with Prosper. I recommend you be VERY forthcoming if you list over their. Explain all of your bad stuff, give a very clear and concise breakdown of your after tax monthly income and expenses, answer all questions lenders ask of you PUBLICLY (no PMing), explain exactly how the money will be used and post a pic of yourself or a pet. Prove to the lenders you are capable and willing to repay the loan. Do not mention your current family issues, lenders at Prosper will runaway if they hear about your newfound responsibilities. I would factor in the increased expenses you will incur by taking care of your family members tho. If you grade-out at D or better, a 5K loan is certainly possible, worse than D, do not list for more than 2.5K. Also, expect to pay a high APR if your loan funds.

Edited to add: look into joining a group that will help you with your listing. They might require verfication of certain things, but they can also help you with endorments and funding your listing.

Moving back home with your parents suggests financial trouble to lenders at Propser, but what you are doing is helping raise children which accuatly might help lenders see this is a postive. Nn second thought, maybe it might be a good idea to share this with the lenders. If you do, you must show them you can afford to raise these children AND repay the loan. If your credit grade is D or better, you might be able to get a loan with a rate below 17.99% (could be much lower, depending on how your credit file). If your grade is below a D, expect a much higher rate. Yes, be forthcoming with the lenders, they do know what's on your EX report. You have to remember that the lenders at Propser will not bid if something smells fishy on your listing.
