I'm having trouble paying off my credit cards and would like a personal loan to help with it. Do you know any instituions that would approve someone with fair credit?
I know the feeling and went through this last year. Had some CC debt not a huge amount but it was difficult not seeing any real results because my debts were spread around a few cards. I applied for a personal loan and was denied and was extremely bummed. The next week I got a pre qualified letter for a 0 apr CC for balance transfers. I applied and was approved. Then got approved for another and was able to move all my debt into 2 0% CCs. Life got much easier and it's really helping to not pay interest and just watching my balance drop.
I know it's not what you asked but you might have good luck with another CC if a loan doesn't pan out. Good luck!

A local credit union helped me to exactly this a few years ago. Got a local CU you can talk to?
Said this in another thread. Same exact experience. CU helped me when no one else would.
Lending Club "prequalified" me for a loan at 30%, which was hilarious/useless since the APRs on all my cards were less than 20%. My CU gave me an unsecured loan that cut my interest almost in half.
