Does anyone here have experience with piggybacking onto someone else's credit? From what I have read, If I were added as an AU to a relatives credit card (one that has a low balance, long history, and no late payments) I would effectively "inherit" that accounts entire history onto my credit report. Is this true? If it is true, how would this affect my score?
Thanks for the help!

Hi there.
If all those criteria are met then yes generally being added as an AU can help you score wise. But not all CCC's (credit card companies) will report AU's to the CRA's. You'll need to call and find out if a particular CCC does that.
