Hello Everybody,I need some help please!!

I just got in the mail that my wages were going to be garnished from  a judgment from 11/13/2000.

1st question, What is the statue of limitations in the state of WI on a small claims?

2.I filled for BK in late 07 and it was discharged in Jan 08. Since then my credit has been perfect.

What do i do?

Was this debt included in your bankruptcy?

I'm not sure, but SOL in WI (Go Packers!) is (I believe) 6 years. IANAL and I don't know if that applies to garnishments, BKs, or what have you.

If I were you, I'd talk to you BK attorney. They'll probably advise you for free on this one. It can't hurt to ask.

Since judgment has already been rendered by the couurt, then the time for offering an SOL defense would apparently no longer appear to be an issue.

I am not aware of a separate SOL running from judgment to contined ability to collect on it.
