Preapprovals: Hard Pull?

Hello Everybody,

If one applies for a "preapproval" for an auto loan via the internet, does that application produce a "hard pull?"

Don...I don't know the answer to your question.

I don't know if a pre-approval for an auto loan is similar to a pre-approval for a credit card. You may want to ask the folks on the credit card forum this same question.

I did it once 3-4 years ago and it was a hard pull.

FICO scores on November 17, 2014 (prior to applying for and being approved my mortgage)

EX=738
EQ=735
TU=754

FICO scores on March 4, 2015 after being approved for mortgage and buying the home, the mortgage isn't yet reporting.
EX- 689 EQ- 739 TU- 739
