Prequal prepopulated info question
I have noticed recently when filling out Synchrony Bank prequal forms my address that populates is my ex husbands. We have been divorced 10 years and I've never lived at the apartment that he lives in currently. He has lived there about 3 years. What would make his address populate as mine? His address is not on my credit reports. Could it mean that he or someone has been using the prequal tool with my info and his address?

there's other supplemental credit reports than Equifax, Transunion, Experian and what ends up happening is that these other credit reports are just a giant abominastion of any information that might be remotely relevant to you even if it's not accurate at all. They pull this information and it's not always right.
I would certainly check your credit reports to make sure everything is accurate, and keep freezes on your credit just because it's a good, safe practice to have and only unfreeze if you are applying for credit/bank accounts etc.

but I doubt there's any foul play going on.
I'd start by requesting your LexisNexus report and seeing if there's any inaccuries to dispute/correct and go from there.
