I'm hoping for some advice on this before I go calling Equifax and Experian. I'm not even sure if they are open on Juneteenth today. But I just got the Equifax dispute a little while ago and received the Experian one the other day. I'm not sure why they send them late at night? What I was disputing was that the Tomo credit card account was closed on March 29th, 2023 but it is still reporting as open. I am kinda fuming the credit bureaus acknowledge the account was closed, I even attached an email response from Tomo themselves that on taht date of March 20th they would proceed to close the account. As of right now I can't even login to the Tomo card - it does not recognize my login or even my social security number on the automated phone line for Tomo. So why on earth can both of these bureaus report them as open and deny my request to correctly update my reports? That doesn't make sense. It's going on well over 2 months since Tomo has been closed. I don't think the credit bureaus reached out to Tomo at all.
Check annualcreditreport.com to make sure its still there or gone.

@IcyCool7227 In what way did the credit bureaus acknowledge the account was closed in the first place?
Like @FireMedic1 suggested, pull those ACR's to confirm one way or the other. You need to download the reports so you'll have something tangible if you need to file a complaint and who to file against...the cra's or Tomo. Tomo may be incorrectly reporting and in that case the cra's have no choice but to report what they receive. Have you tried calling Tomo again?
The crappy thing is that Tomo doesn't offer phone support anymore. I haven't heard from them in several days now by email either so I wish I had never gotten this account to begin with. They never raised my credit limit. But I will pull those ACRs.

Who closed it and why?
File a CFPB complaint against Tomo for not correctly reporting the status of the account, mentioning the March letter and your current inability to either log in to your old account or get responses from them after multiple attempts to contact. Their response should be to confirm the acount is closed and they are correctly reporting it as such. After that you should wait 30 days for the CRAs to update the account status and if they do not, try opening disputes again. It doesn't matter if Tomo's response to the CFPB says they needed to fix an error, it only matters that they confirm they're now reporting correct status.
Dispute processes with a CRA tend to go pretty smoothly when the issuer has already confirmed to the CFPB they are sending out correct information.
