Long time lurker of these boards. I have started fixing my credit using MyFico and using different techniques. Got stuff off my report that has haunted me since 2004. I was just a dumb kid with a Credit Card. I'm sure most of you were in the same boat otherwise you wouldn't be here.
My question is that would it be possible to lump together into one letter a Good Will letter and a PFD into one letter? Basically what I want to do, since I had bad luck with Capital One the first go around, is to send a letter that is asking for Good Will but offer to pay half of what I owe as my showing of good faith and pay the rest of my balance on time if they agree to take the late days off my account. Is this a viable strategy? Thank you and any help would be appreciated.
