Question Regarding "Account Status" VS "Account History"

Lets say in my Experian CR, I have a vehicle that was paid in full. The account status reads "Paid Closed". however under account history it reads "repossesion as of Oct 08". Is that hurting my score or is the account status what is important to creditors? The car was not repossessed. I don't even know why that is there.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Question Regarding "Account Status" VS "Account History"

You'd probably want to get that fixed. While we can no longer get our EX FICO score from anywhere, the layout for EX report vs the others were the same. FICO looks at the worst delinquency, status, and even reads the comments. If the comments say "repo", then you'd need to talk to the creditor. Before doing so, make sure you have already pulled the report as provided directly by EX. You can get it for free once a year for free via annualcreditreport.com or if you have an EX product like freecreditreport.com or creditchecktotal, then you can get it for free by clicking "dispute". Don't dispute, but they'll give you a free copy. FICO looks at this org. copy when calculating a score.
