I've always had my US Bank CC report to all 3 on the same day. I checked my EX report today and sure enough, it updated on the 1st of the month as usual. When I checked TU and EQ and no update. Is there a lag behind with TU and EQ since I went thrugh MYFICO and not directly through those respective sites?
You're fortunate that your US Bank update showed up on the same dates for EQ and TU as for EX. Nearly everyone finds that there is a delay of 3-5 days, sometimes longer, for these two after you see a new balance on EX.
It has nothing to do with monitoring services. The updates go to your full credit reports which are maintained by (and at) each bureau.
Add to clarify: US Bank (and other banks) update, as in report your new balance, to all three CRA's at the same time. The discrepancy is when each CRA actually posts the new data.
eta: when you say, "When I checked TU and EQ and no update," do you mean that you pulled new reports for each via myFICO? If you pulled new reports and the new balance isn't there, that means that TU and EQ haven't posted the new balance yet. If you mean that you're waiting for an update from Score Watch (which would be EQ only), there's the combo of waiting for the new balance to be posted by EQ plus waiting for SW to see it and send an alert. If you're just looking at existing EQ and TU reports, they don't update on their own. You have to pull new ones.
I meant that I pulled my new scores this morning through MyFico and no update. It seems like they have always updated on the same day, but perhaps I just jumped the gun a little early this morning ![]()
After getting burned enough times doing the same thing, I started using a 3-party monitoring service (TrueCredit back in the day) to see if the new stuff had posted yet. Once it showed up there, I'd pull a FICO. Luckily, my credit finally settled down enough, and my curiosity was finally satisfied, so that I no longer have FICO scores the third most expensive item in my monthly budget. ![]()
Gets expensive to keep pulling FICO's when the numbers haven't changed. Or even when they have! ![]()
That's actually a really good idea....Thanks!
