I was in the process of trying out USAA's Bill Pay. I searched some financial institutes, and they have theme on file. However, I don't like how it doesn't show the payee address/phone number after you search for theme. It simply says "we have theme on file..." or something like that. I want to verify that the bill is set up for the correct account.
How do other institutes do it? Do they still show the address details?
I suppose I could trust USAA, but after the security breach they had earlier this year (because of their IT department), I really want to verify they have the right address 'on file'.
Myfico email subscriptions are going slow today...
I think I worded "security breach" wrong.
I guess I will just stick to my old routine of paying my bills each payday, one-by-one of every bill that is due before the next pay day.
I use USAA for some of my bills. They payments get there, always.

Key "some bills", but not all? Are these bills mainstream? Citi, BofA, Chase, Capital One, etc.. I'm pretty confident no issues will arise with theme. However, a have some oddball accounts; I have a First Bankcard Chrysler MasterCard, with the parent company being First National Bank Omaha. Then I have a couple other oddballs.
Just wish USAA would show the payee address in the details pane.
Bills that are paid Electronically (most are) as opposed to an actual Check, don't need physical addresses these Banks/Companies are all interconnected via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) and this is how the Electronic Payments are processed. Just like your Direct Deposit of your paycheck in to your Checking Account, the companies you pay have a routing and account number on file with the ACH and that's how payments are routed to the companies (their banks anyway) and your account information that you gave to the Online Bill Pay is listed on the transaction so they know which account to apply the payment to.

Sounds good!
One interesting note, Capital One 360 (checking) Bill Pay has you enter the zip code.

I guess that's for Verification that you have the correct Biller/Company. I know some Companies have more than one account for receiving different types of payments. Like Mortgage payment vs credit card payments even though both are with Bank ABC.
Just notice something. . . when I searched "walmart" on USAA's bill pay, nothing came up. Luckily I also searched "wal-mart", and both the Store Card and Discover card came up.
USAA should have a list of payee's on file, like Bankd of America does.

I have paid all bills before, just that its really fast with some banks and slower with others. I only push the ones that are easy, or in the circumstance that I want to pay more than the current balance.
