Related to my work, I saw a massive increase in number of people who having their fico score above 810 in a single month, saying Aug 2008. Also Sep 2008. So I had questions about how does this happen. Are the fico scores updated for EVERYONE every month? Or you update them by group, saying, fico score within a range first, then the next group? If not, what kind of factors (e.g. the market's down in those 2 months, etc.) do you think are possibly leading to this dramatic change in people's fico score in those 2 months?
I really need to figure out the reason... or do you have any recommendation who should i talk to/which number should i dial? i called the 800 phone but no one answered ![]()
Thanks.
Hi Shore...and welcome to the forums.
FICO scores are based on many moving parts. They are different for everyone. FICO scores update if there is a change in your credit report. These scores don't change based on anything to do with the market.
Do some reading and research here in the forums. There is a forum called Understanding FICO scoring. There are a lot of good links that can give you information on how the FICO scoring process works.
