Queston about NAFS and old collection account

They are trying to collect on a debt that is almost 10 years old.  We disputed it originally and then nothing happened.  Now they are trying to collect again. 

I know the general rules about statute of limitations but how do I get it removed from my credit report?  I don't recall seeing it on the last credit report I pulled from EQ but is it possible that it's showing on the other two?  I know that our scores on the other two reports are significantly below the EQ score.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Yes it can be on all CR.....pull all reports & dispute will all 3  as obsolete... debt 10 years old.

Also file a complaint with the FTC  www.ftc.gov
