I assumed cap one would approve my newly opened account with at at least 1k limit, but to my surprise it's only 500. I mean it's the QS card usually designed for more established credit NOT QS1 which can be for rebuilding? Anyone experience similar issues with cap one.

Not unusual for Cap-1, have read that they issue WEMCs with 600 CLs.

Wow had I known that prior to apping, I would not have.
hoover - Get with a CU. Your scores are respectable. Probably could get $5k CL...depends on your file I guess.
Get rid of credit one and first premier.....they should not be in youur lineup anymore.
Yeah, I also got a QS with no AF and a $500 starting limit that credit-stepped to $750. From what I understand, the QS part is, more or less, really just the reward/fee structure applied on top of a platinum, professional, signature, etc. card (in case of Visa). For example, when I log into the online system the QS is filed under "Visa Platinum".

I agree with your statement. Some of the cards in OP signature need to be removed.

We're in agreement.

Keep in mind that with any creditor it's not the card that determines your limit but your credit and income.
I had this discussion in a different thread regarding my SO. She was started out with a low limit as well and just recently a lower limit Amex card with a $1,250 starting CL. However, we never activated the QS card as planned as I wanted to see two things: 1. What Amex would do in regards to the 61 day or so CLI, and 2. See if my CU would stick by what they said, meaning that once two baddies were gone from her EXP, they'd give her a unsecured CC. Well, Amex gave her the CLI to $3,750.00 and the CU gave her a Visa Platium with a $5k limit. So, given what I know from here and that Cap1 is erratic at best and everything seems to involve the EO, they were called and the account closed.
I now fully believe Cap1 will not grow at the same rate as other cards and that in the end, all those commericals have to be paid for somehow.
With all that being said, I second the advice and that you seek a CU that you can grow with.
