As much a i loved this board i fell like it had turned me into a CC junkie for real. This board has helped me so much but i think i'm gonna have to step away well maybe stop viewing the credit card forum cause it temps me to wanna apply for card. Now i have 40 Inquiries on my TU credit report which is killing my score. Man why can't i have will power.

Yes about 15 of them are from this year an the other one's are from 2007 which they will be falling off all next year. I feel so dumb

For anyone who finds themselves in this situation, I'd advise figuring out where you want to be with your credit in 1 year, 2 years, and 5 years, working out what it's going to take to get there, writing it all down, and then posting it on your computer. Or your fridge. Or your bathroom wall, or wherever you do a lot of gazing.

If you don't have some sort of long-term vision and a plan of reaching it, you're going to have a lot of unplanned off-road credit excursions. And all they do is slow you down and set you back.

GL on the CC forum boycott. You're not the only one who gets sucked in over there.

Thx for the support yes i'm from Chicago an most banks here either pull TU or EX.

There's only a few that pull EQ.

ByrdMan is in the same boat. Everyone pulls TU up that way, it seems.

Whereas where I am (East Tennessee), you have to go up and down the streets with a lantern to find someone to pull TU. Hooters and Juniper, big whoop.

Hang in there, it will get better. Just keep a plan in your head and be choosy. I've got crap on my reports that I'll be dragging around for the next 4 1/2 years. So it goes...

I'm gonna write down my plan this week an that is to apply for 4 prime cards 2 years from now after all my inquiries fall off.
