Hi All, I am new to this forum and also new to credit scores. I really have never had to have credit before and I screwed up what little bit I did have. I recently did the freecreditreport.com thing and I had a plus score of 725. Of course I figured out that it's not really an accurate score!!!! I paid for my FICO and found out I do not even have a score. I had 3 charge offs drop off at the first of the year. I also have, still on my credit, a car loan that is paid and I had a co-signer and a paid, never late, student loan. Both of these are scheduled to fall off next year(around March, I think). I just got a small personal loan of $1000, but I still had to have a co-signer! I am excited that I received that...lol! The banker pulled my report from annualreport.com and I had a couple of collections (medical, I'm sure) but it did not state who or what it was!?!?! I pulled my Equifax report and nothing deragatory was on it. So, I have no idea how to go about that....any help would be appreciated on that one!!!!
I have several other questions as well pertaining to the personal loan I received.
How long will it be before my credit report starts showing payments made on the personal loan?
How long will it take for a FICO score to show up?
And when it does, will the older credit items that are still showing on my report, although very old, help or hurt my score?
Thank you in advance,
Tiffany
"Rebuilding Your Credit" is the forum you need. You'll find it in the "FICO Forums" page. Also, you could go ahead and request your free annual credit reports at "annualcreditreports.com" and begin sorting the wheat from the chaff.
Good Luck
