Re: Recommendation after being rejected by myFICO

The bureaus can give you the reports, because it is directly from them.

There might be a problem with the my fico SW, since they keep tweaking the formula.  If you have credit, and they pulled a report, then it's something to do with MYFICO, the consumer side vs business side.  Whomever told you that need 24 months ssn info is incorrect, but their software may not be accustomed to less.

That doesn't explain how American Express is able to provide me a three bureau report, which I am able to pull and update daily. Sure, it is only an Experian Plus score, but that's just a question of what they do with the data once they have it. They have no problem pulling the data for all three bureaus based on my providing name, DoB, address, and SSN. Similarly I was previously able to see all my data through other free services, and while they provide various FAKO's, that is again just a question of what they do with the data once they have it.

This is purely a myfico issue.

Are you able to get your reports through other services, and if so, why is only myFICO affected? I have used a few of the other services and none of them had any problem retrieving my full credit report. Experian's service gave me a report and FICO score. I've used Amex's CreditSecure service and while they dont' provide FICO scores they do pull my full report and calculate a fako PLUS score. I'd been using that for the first six months because I wouldn't have had a FICO anyway with less than six, and it was nice to be able to refresh the full report daily.

So I know others can pull my report without getting any of those warnings. Is it different here?

I was able to get FICO score directly from Experian and Equifax without any hassle.
