Recommended next steps?

If anyone would like to take a look at my situation and offer their insight it would be greatly appreciated.  I’ve been reading the board for about a month now and have learned a ton.  I’ve followed the steps suggested and am at the point where I wonder, now what?

I sent PFB goodwill to Cap1 with no luck, then mailed a goodwill letter.  I’m in the middle of Whychat’s process to get that collection removed.  So that takes care of the baddies, hopefully!  I applied for two new cards the Discover and the Amex.  I tried to get a CLI with BOA and no luck. I’m looking to get my score up there, of course aren’t we all.  I’m not sure of the next step to take.  Should I just wait and see?  Is there something I can do to help this along?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Recommended next steps?

Pay down your BoA card to below $500, but remember to leave a balance <10% reporting on at least one card.

Make sure that your $0 balance cards aren't going inactive or getting canceled through lack of use if you want to keep them alive.

Call Discover, BoA, and Amex to ask for CLIs.

Use the Whychat HIPAA dispute on your medical collection, if that is possible. I am not entirely sure, since it has been paid. I think HappyDays is knowledgeable about that process.

Send goodwill letters to Capital One.

Re: Recommended next steps?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Does logging onto the accounts online keep them active at all or do I have to charge and then pay off?  How often must I use them?

Thanks again!

Re: Recommended next steps?

You have to use them occasionally. BoA doesn't report a payment, at least for me, if there is no payment due. The others, you just need to use them at least once every 3-6 months. Otherwise they can go inactive, or even be closed. The store cards will probably last longer before they get closed.
