Reponse to GW denial

Should I send another GW letter before sending a PFD? The OC (Wells Fargo) treated the first GW as a dispute, which could be a misinterpretation or their pleasant way of saying no. The rub is that I'm also trying to get this account removed as quickly as possible for upcoming student loan applications.

Also, has anyone had/heard of success rates with PFDs via phone?

PFD can be started by phone BUT  should be in writting before payment is made.

How old is this    DOFD?

I was able to get the majority of mine deleted over the phone. (Over 20!!) So, I know it is possible, especially when you are rushed.

Re: Reponse to GW denial

DOFD is May 2003, so I'm past SOL here in good ol Texas.

I'll try the GW via phone, then offer a PFD (in writing!). Is there anything against faxed PFD statements (i.e., the signature needs to be original)?

Fax is ok! And it's fast.

Re: Reponse to GW denial

I dont get this?  Is the debt paid?  Otherwise what is point of GW?  Just go straight to PFD?  Now, if it IS paid, then there is no need for PFD?   The only way I see a combination of these two tools being used is IF they will not agree to PFD after trying, you then pay it in full, and then later ask them to remove any late payments showing even if they will not delete the entire TL.

Am I missing something?
