CK scores are used by a small amount of lenders, yet no one can really identify which lenders use those scores. FICO scores are touted as used by 90% of lenders so that is more than likely the score on which you should focus. If there are inaccuracies on a credit report, it is your right to dispute them and make the CRA's and data furnishers produce and report correct information.
My question wasn't about the score, it was about which site had correct information. I am now looking at the credit report because I selected to do a dispute and I don't see Cap One on the TU report at all, only collection accounts for them. So I don't know which site to belive when I look at them!!
Really no sites have certified "correct" information. They all pull data from the CRA reports (e.g. EQ, TU and EX). Is the data on those reports correct? Only you know and the only way to confirm accuracy is to get copies direct from the CRAs and review details.
I noted errors on all my reports with what Cap One reported as a credit limit ($300 when it was $5000), on my EQ report with an unauthorized HP from a credit union, a charge card incorrectly classified as a credit card on EQ. These issues were resolved but NOT directly by the CRA. In most cases you need to work through the credit issuer or credit requestor to get these type errors corrected.
I'd suggest getting a copy of your report showing the error(s) and then mailing/emailing it to the credit issuer along with a cover letter. They should respond back to you in writing. Depending on the response you may then want to file a dispute with the CRA along with documentation to get a case #. It is likely the CRA won't act until they get a response fron the creditor but now you have a reference # and can check status of completion.
