Score drops 65 pts in a day!!!!

My last score updated on March 13th it was 653 and today I get an email from scorewatch that my score decreased to 588!  WTF!  It has something from Nordstrom because I paid my bill late, but paid the account in full a few days later.  Is there anything that I could do to correct this and get my score back.  I'm closing on a home on the 15th and I don't want anything to effect this!  Someone please help!

A new 30 day could drop your score that much. Pull EQ to look line by line for other changes. If there clearly is a late, then you could GW Nordstroms asking for help in removing the late. Would be worth a phone call too.

when you apply for a mortgage you should be watching your credit like a hawk and make sure you pay everything on time, everytime. if you dont get a bill when you normally do call them immediatley. target is really bad about this as well.
