Scoring models - weirdness

I don't get it sometimes. CK Vantage dropped -7 points and the only 2 factors are I paid my Discover from $55 to $0 and Chase Sapphire Reserve from $1206 to $0.

A few weeks ago it went +3 points and the only changes were 4 cards _all_ showing increased balances by $7500 total.

Go figure. I think Vantage is screwey.

I wouldn't put too much thought into your vantage score. At least I don't, because it seems like there is always questionable things happening with my vantage score as well.

I look at the VS3.0 scores I get free from CK but don't put much stock in them.  I do find it interesting how they move relative to various FICO scores though.  I'd pay closer attention to them if I could get a VS4.0 score which may be useful by the time I'm ever in the housing market.
