Secured Credit Card

Can anyone recommend a reputable secured credit card provider? 

Does anyone particularly NOT like a certain provider of credit for those with less than perfect credit???

Go Bank of America or Orchard,   those are the two I hear most often as among the best.

B of A already said I needed to have a checking account with them and I like the bank I'm currently at.  I will check out Orchard online though.  Thanks.

That's how I started my credit history. I couldn't get approved for ANYTHING. I never co-signed with parents, had a car payment, etc. So I did that and built some credit up. Definitely helped me out. Annual fee was only $35. Not a bad price to build/rebuild.

ank of America will issue you a secured credit if you bank elsewhere. I suggest that you go into the banking centers and apply for a unsecured credit card.

If your not accepted for the unsecured B of A card, they might offer you a partially secured card. For example you place $99.00 in a savings account and B of A provides you with a credit limit of $500.00. After nine months you account will be reviewed, for on time payments. At that time B of A can transition your card from secured to unsecured.

Orchard has a "decent" card, by decent I mean they don't eat you up with fees as badly as most.  Other than that BofA and WF are great but most likely WF would tell you the same thing BofA did.
