Well, going on dispute # 9 between 3 CRAs. Experian got it right on try # 1. Eq and Tu keep making errors. Finally they go, we will delete the account. NO. Fix it. I finally sent in a fax which was also glanced at and not read.
My new way of disputing is:
FAX.
Wait 1 week.
Call in to make sure the fax was read properly.
Wait 2 weeks.
*If dispute is complicated. Call back to check that they are still disputing the same correct information. Sometimes the CSRs read the disputes wrong to you and then you find out they were really disputing something else.
It's been months and they can't offer anything better than deleting the tradeline. I am not letting them delete something that should be positive.
So remember FAX, Verify, Follow up.
