Should I Wake The CA?

OC sold account to CA1.
CA1 sold it to CA2

I complaint to CA2 their violations of my rights as afforded to me by FDCPA. Sent it months ago CMRRR.

CA2 stopped communicating for 2-3 months already. No letters, no phone call.

I called CA2 they said account closed.
I called again, they said I need to speak to their ATTORNEY Collector.
Initially the ATTORNEY collector said closed account.
Then after an hour, he called saying I owe them money.

Then they stopped calling me or writing me again.
Everything is quiet. They say they do report account status to EXP and EQ. I check them both several times, they made no reports.

OC reported ZERO balance, charge off.

Whats the best thing to do?

NO - wait for the attoeney to do something...they will probably do a demand letter of some type - then DV him.

Re: Should I Wake The CA?

Wait it out till you get harrassed again.

This happens a lot, unfortunately.  People don't know what's going on with their debt, it's surprising.  Wait for something in writing. Don't let phone calls throw your guard down.

Re: Should I Wake The CA?

Can this CA2 do a sneaky court action seeking for a judgment?

Re: Should I Wake The CA?

Since you have the green card (do you?) from the letter you sent them and that has a current address on it - sneaky, not really (at least nothing that you couldn't get vacated if they did).  Can they file a suit and serve you - yes.  At which point I would file a countersuit for the violations -- so document to kingdom come and back.
